I went home today

i just got back from a dive into my past. my parents had thought this weekend that we should all go (the family and i) to San Diego to celebrate my birthday that was in January lol! so we rented a white durango and headed out...on Saturday. i think mid-way i fell deep into a sleep that lasted a whole 2 hours...when i awoke we were in harbor city at go kart world! (see some pics in the pics section) after playing around there we headed to San Diego. while driving i started to see familiar places and the memories started to swell back and how much i really missed this place that made me a big chunk of who i am. i quickly asked to be taken to my old grade school. and without hesitation the parents like some kind of limo driver said sure and took us there.

when i stepped out of the car i felt like i was in third grade again and instead of being 21. i wanted to see my old friends out on the bars, and me playing soccer. i wanted to go into my old class room. much to say i got really nostalgic...and swore someday when i get married i will bring the one i love to the very swings i went on every morning. because when i would swing up i could see the beautiful sun coming up and the ocean chasing it.

after taking some pictures..for proof that i was back there. we headed to fish house Vera Cruz in San Marcos...another place i used to live. the food was heavenly and the night was unforgettable.

next morning we head back to Carlsbad to eat at my old favorite pizza place called that pizza place. then it was off toward home to end the day.

i got a car that night (which was a big deal) but i think the thing that i loved the most...was being home...really home...somewhere i knew was mine and i loved.

i plan to live there with my family someday but until then my heart waits for me to return home.


oh ya i suck ass at bowling...and at that I'm sleeping off my shame....
